Policy Board
The Policy Board is the governing body for the MPO. Information is gathered from the public and the two advisory committees under their oversight. The Policy Board then decides how best to direct MPO staff to help meet the transportation needs of the MPO area.
Membership
Three elected officials from each of the jurisdictions represented by the MPO: City of Las Cruces, Town of Mesilla, and Doña Ana County; and the NMDOT District 1 Engineer.
Technical Advisory Committee
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) provides planning and engineering input to the Policy Committee regarding transportation projects and their potential impact within the region.
Membership
The TAC is made up of City, County and Mesilla Public Works and Planning employees and others who represent various agencies with a vested interest in the transportation infrastructure of the MPO.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee (BPAC) provides input to the Policy Committee regarding bicycle and pedestrian planning processes and facilities within the MPO, including how they can be improved and expanded to serve residents better.
Membership
The BPAC is made up of members of the bicycling and pedestrian community; citizen representatives from the city of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, Town of Mesilla; and staff representatives of City of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, Town of Mesilla, NMDOT, and NMSU.
