The Mesilla Valley MPO has opened the first public comment period for the upcoming Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) 2050. The MVMPO is looking for public input on the transportation system. How the transportation system is currently functioning and how it can be improved. The MVMPO is looking for comment on how emerging transportation issues are affecting the regional area and how they can be incorporated into regional planning. The MTP is the long-range regional transportation plan for the Mesilla Valley MPO area. The Mesilla Valley MPO area encompasses the City of Las Cruces, the Town of Mesilla and parts of unincorporated Dona Ana County. The planning area stretches from Radium Springs in the North to Vado and Berino in the South and West of the Las Cruces International Airport to The San Augustine Pass in the East.
There will be public meetings in different parts of the MVMPO area dates and locations are:
Any regularly scheduled MVMPO Policy Board Meetings.
Any regularly scheduled MVMPO Technical Advisory Committee Meetings.
Any regularly scheduled MVMPO Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee Meetings.
Vado/Del Cerro Community Center 5 to 7 pm April 23, 2024
Las Cruces Farmers Market 8 am to 1 pm March 30, 2024
Town of Mesilla Community Center 5 to 7 pm April 11, 2024
Radium Springs Community Center 5 to 7 pm April 18, 2024
