The City of Las Cruces submitted a request to the Mesilla Valley MPO to revise the MVMPO Truck Route Map.
As the Truck Route Map is a part of Mesilla Valley MPO’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), a 30 day public comment period is required before the MPO Policy Board can consider the amendment.
That public comment period is now open and will be open until close of business on August 15, 2022.
The proposed amendments to Truck Route Map are as follows: removal of South Melendres Street from South Main Street to El Molino Boulevard, the removal of Brown Road from South Compress Road to South Main Street, and the addition of El Molino Boulevard from South Compress Road to South Melendres Street. Public Comment can be made at one of the MPO Committee or Board meetings or made directly to Mr. Dominic Loya, firstname.lastname@example.org or (575) 528-3225.
The dates, times and locations for the meetings are:
Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Committee (BPAC) July 19th at 5 pm at County Building in the County Commission Chambers, 845 North Motel Blvd, Las Cruces, NM 88007.
Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) August 4th at 4 pm at Las Cruces City Hall in Council Chambers, 700 North Main St, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
Policy Board August 10th at 1 pm at Las Cruces City Hall in Council Chambers, 700 North Main St, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
The amendment is scheduled to go before the MVMPO Policy Board for final action on September 14, 2022.
