The Mesilla Valley MPO is very excited to announce the completion and release of the Mesilla Valley MPO Bicycle Facilities Map. This map is now accessible to the public on our website at this link.
The virtual map version is desktop, tablet, and mobile-friendly for the convenience of the general public. The virtual map is also interactive where users can zoom in and out as needed and can locate specific addresses in the search bar located at the top of the screen. The map is also available on the MPO website on the Maps and Resources page.
Hard copies are available at the City of Las Cruces City Hall, the Doña Ana County Government Center, the Town of Mesilla Town Hall, and upon request to MPO Staff.
Mesilla Valley MPO Staff developed the Bicycle Facilities Map to show cyclists and pedestrians where bicycle facilities are located within the MPO area. The lanes/facilities portrayed on our map reflect an accurate representation of the location and type of bicycle lane/facility that is present and marked with signage. All facilities represented on our map have on-site physical signage in the forms of road signs, pavement markings, or both. The five types of bicycle lanes/facilities are Buffered bike lanes, Unbuffered bike lanes, Shoulder, Share the Road, and Multi-use Paths.
The Mesilla Valley MPO Bicycle Facilities Map was created through site visits and recording all segments marked on this map. All recorded lanes/facilities were observed and verified by Mesilla Valley MPO staff. All lanes/facilities on this map (both physical and virtual versions) were recorded as of September 2022.
Please contact MPO Staff if you have any question.
