The Mesilla Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Advisory Committee (BPAC) is seeking a community member to serve as a Bicycle Community Representative on the Committee.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in bicycling and health issues, be able to attend BPAC meetings on a bimonthly basis, and attend and participate in working groups. Any resident of the Mesilla Valley MPO’s Metropolitan Planning Area (see attached) is eligible for this position.
The BPAC is made up of citizens representing the bicycling and pedestrian community and staff representing City of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, Town of Mesilla, NMDOT, and NMSU. This Committee provides input to the Policy Board regarding bicycle and pedestrian facilities within the MPO and how they can be improved and expanded to serve residents better. The BPAC meets eight months of the year on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:00 pm.

This call for candidates will be open until May 2 and may be renewed as needed.
