The Mesilla Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization has opened an Open Call for Projects for the 2020-2025 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), which is scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2019.
The TIP is a four year fiscally constrained list of federal and state funded regionally significant transportation projects for the Mesilla Valley MPO Area. Additionally, the TIP contains two informational years after the four year fiscally constrained period.
All TIP applications must be submitted by transportation facility owners. Project lead agencies must demonstrate their ability to secure the local monetary match, if applicable, and oversee the project through design, construction, and maintenance. Eligible projects include but are not limited to: roadway reconstruction, street lights, traffic signals, bridge improvements, and enhancement projects. Eligible projects must conform to the Mesilla Valley MPO’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
The public involvement procedures outlined in this Plan serve as the public participation process required for the development of transit projects as per Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Circular 9030.1E.
The deadline for submitting applications to the Mesilla Valley MPO is the close of business on February 22, 2019.
Any interested person or entity may submit a project application to: Andrew Wray, Mesilla Valley MPO, P.O. Box 20000, Las Cruces, NM 88004, via email to Mr. Wray at email@example.com, or hand deliver the application to the MPO at the Las Cruces City Hall, 700 N. Main St., Las Cruces, NM 88004.
